Our Story
In 2018, we started off as a beauty focus WhatsApp group of 50+ members.
Previously called BEAUTY VENT, it was a platform for young women who were vulnerable and open enough to share their beauty concerns; from how to choose foundation shades, to finding the products that work for their diverse skin types, effective natural hair care products, and brands that cater to their needs.
We shared practical tips and gave recommendations within the community to get through those concerns.
This incited the creation of Black Beauty Rep, a digital platform set up to influence the visibility of black beauty content by showcasing talented creators and sharing the most relatable beauty tips & tutorials.
Purpose
We bring you the best of the best in beauty across Africa and the world at large. Black beauty is rich, and it’s only right that it should be seen and enjoyed by all.
